About
My PhD is situated within the fields of social policy and human geography looking specifically at state theory, devolution and community development. It is a critical exploration of three strands within the Communities First programme in Wales; strategic integration, local-level participation and structural changes to governance at a micro-level. The aim is to create a snapshot in time and space of devolution in Wales and the extent to which the process impacts on regeneration and tackling deprivation at a local level with a focus on space and territory.
