I am working on a thesis designed to measure the impact of President Jimmy Carter’s ‘human rights’ foreign policies on U.S. national security. The specific focus of the PhD is on the ramifications of Carter's policies toward three Central American nations, Nicaragua, Guatamala and El Salvador toward U.S. national security.
I lecture at Sheffield Hallam University and conduct contractual work for the Department of State - teaching US Federalism to international delegations.
I am member of the American Politics Group at Rothermere American Institute (University of Oxford &
St Anne’s College, Oxford) as well as the The British Association for American Studies and The Historical Association.
